The paper aims to investigate the relationship between the concept of “plastic force” that Friedrich Nietzsche develops in the Second Untimely Meditation and the “weak messianic force” used by Walter Benjamin in his Thesis on concept of History in order to criticize the historicist conception of History and to theorize the revolutionary chance of the now-time (Jetztzeit). The critical Nietzsches approach to the “historical illness”, the discovery of the Not-historical and the later concept of eternal return in Thus Spoke Zarathustra will be interpreted as a not recognised antecedent of Benjamins “time of redemption” and his conception of Messianism.

Abstract
The paper aims to investigate the relationship between the concept of “plastic force” that Friedrich Nietzsche develops in the Second Untimely Meditation and the “weak messianic force” used by Walter Benjamin in his Thesis on concept of History in order to criticize the historicist conception of History and to theorize the revolutionary chance of the now-time (Jetztzeit). The critical Nietzsches approach to the “historical illness”, the discovery of the Not-historical and the later concept of eternal return in Thus Spoke Zarathustra will be interpreted as a not recognised antecedent of Benjamins “time of redemption” and his conception of Messianism.Pubblicazioni consigliate
