Multidimensional chromatography (MD-LC) is an established niche in separation science, due to its increased separation power vs. “conventional” one-dimensional systems for the analysis of highly complex samples. The major benefit is that the separation capacities of each dimension are multiplied, thus offering a notable higher peak capacity. In this chapter, theoretical and practical aspects related to the development of MD-LC methods are covered with particular emphasis on instrumental set-up and availability of up-to-date stationary phases.

Abstract
Multidimensional chromatography (MD-LC) is an established niche in separation science, due to its increased separation power vs. “conventional” one-dimensional systems for the analysis of highly complex samples. The major benefit is that the separation capacities of each dimension are multiplied, thus offering a notable higher peak capacity. In this chapter, theoretical and practical aspects related to the development of MD-LC methods are covered with particular emphasis on instrumental set-up and availability of up-to-date stationary phases.File in questo prodotto:
